The University of Porto has the pleasure of hosting the 11th International Airborne Wind Energy Conference (AWEC 2026). Following Chico, Stanford, Leuven, Hampton, Berlin, Delft, Freiburg, Glasgow, Milan, and Madrid, the eleventh iteration of the conference will be held at the Campus of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. We are excited to invite international experts from academia and industry to express their ideas and share the latest outcomes from their research activities during the three days of the conference.
The Airborne Wind Energy Conference started in 2009 with the purpose of gathering leading scientists, researchers, and entrepreneurs from the emerging field of airborne wind energy to present their latest findings and achievements in slide and poster presentations and panel discussions. Since 2019, the conference is jointly organised with the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE), Airborne Wind Europe and Delft University of Technology.
